The Receptionist will be an organized, friendly individual with a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well with others and should be a motivated self-starter. They will need to think critically on their own and respond to change well.

The Bar K Ranch Guest House (BKRGH) is currently accepting applications for a part-time Handyman. The successful candidate will look after routine maintenance and upkeep of the BKRGH and other related properties.


  • Must have and maintain independent registration with WorkSafe BC.
  • Must be safety oriented and able to follow all BKRGH policies and procedures.
  • Must have experience operating and maintaining lawn and garden equipment, as well as other assorted power tools. Lawn and garden equipment includes, but is not limited to: ride-on lawn mower, and Bobcat skid-steer loader with related attachments.
  • Must be trustworthy and meticulous.
  • Must be able to: work unsupervised, communicate verbally and in writing, and follow up on projects to achieve closure.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks, consistently meet deadlines, and work at an acceptable pace.
  • Must hold and maintain a Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and have reliable transportation.


  • Winterizing premises and equipment.
  • Summerizing premises and equipment.

Carrier Lumber Ltd. is searching for a part-time Inventory Counter to count packages of lumber and piles of logs at our Tabor Mill site.

The successful candidate will work every second Sunday on a pre-determined schedule. This work is outdoors, regardless of weather conditions, and will not be cancelled to accommodate statutory holidays. There may be rare occasions when the work is rescheduled to Saturday or Monday.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude. This is a physical job involving walking on even and uneven surfaces. Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit attention to detail, excellent math skills, and impeccable attendance.

Come work on one of the largest cattle ranches in British Columbia! Our 1000-pair, cow-calf operation sprawls over 8,000 deeded acres, just 15 minutes northwest of Prince George. Bar K Ranch was the first BC beef operation registered with the Verified Beef Production program and has recently received its AgSafe OHS Certificate of Recognition (COR).


We are looking for a seasonal ranch employee to work calving and/or harvest season. Taking pride in your work, problem solving abilities and a proactive attitude are the strengths needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the ranching industry and respect for all animals while working in a low-stress environment. Past experience with calving on pasture, cattle ranching, or veterinary care is a considerable asset. Experience with harvesting, farming or operating equipment also an asset.


  • Assist with calving, tagging, dehorning, castrating (elastrator bands) and calf inventory on pasture

  • Assist with treating sick cows and calves

  • Herding cattle between pastures

  • Feeding cattle as needed with silage

  • Helping with the farming and harvest in later months (machine operating experience an asset)

  • Adhering to strict health, safety and environmental protocols

This is a fulltime, seasonal position. However, shifts may fall on any day of the week, at any hour of the day. Calving season runs 7 days a week. Work term would either be April 1- May 31 for calving, or April 1 – September 30 for calving, farming and harvest. Start and end dates are flexible for students. Hourly wage determined by experience. Housing is available as well for the right candidate. Preference is given to agriculture or veterinary students looking for hands-on experience.

Carrier Manufacturing is currently accepting applications for a Red Seal certified Steel Fabricator for our Prince George shop. We will also accept resumes from third or fourth year apprentices.

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, possess good communications skills, and must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
